Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy is a body-centered approach to therapy that aims to treat the somatic symptoms of attachment wounds, social adaptive strategies that are no longer helpful, and unresolved trauma and/or dissociation. While traditional talk therapies rely on the words of a person as the entry point for treatment, this type of therapy depends on the bodily experiences of the client as a gateway to awareness, an increased sense of choice, and improved mental health.
